The model shows the whole digestive tract from mouth cavity to rectum in life-size. The oral cavity, the pharynx and the first part of the esophagus are dissected along the medial sagittal plane. The liver is shown together with the gall bladder and can be removed. The removable pancreas and duodenum are dissected to expose their internal features. The stomach is also removable and can be dismantled into two parts. Parts of the duodenum, caecum, part of the small intestine, large intestine and the rectum are open to show their interior. The model is mounted on a board.
Due to its high detail, the model is well suited for use as educational material for medical studies and training or biology classes. It is also suitable to explain diverse diseases or treatment methods to patients.
